BODMAS — order changes everything
Same four numbers. Brackets first, then ×, then +. Do it left-to-right instead and you get a different (wrong) answer.
a + b × (c − d) = 6 + 4 × (9 − 3)
① Brackets: (9 − 3) = 6
② Multiply: 4 × 6 = 24
③ Add: 6 + 24 = 30
brackets → × → +
30
Go left-to-right by mistake and you'd get 60 — wrong by 30.
